The Sisterlocks Establishment Package
I have been an authorized Certified Sisterlocks’ Consultant since 2010 and an authorized Certified Sisterlocks' Brand Ambassador since 2018.
I offer Sisterlocks Establishment as a package of 3 visits, including a Consultation, the Locking Session and a Follow-up Visit. The base rate for establishment of Sisterlocks is $1,200.00. Stated price is my base rate; specific quote is given at consultation based on hair length and circumference of head.
Ongoing Retightening Services are also provided. Sisterlocks products are sold on site.
First Visit: The Consultation
During this session, you and I will discuss your personal hair care history, your styling preferences and your lifestyle in order to determine if Sisterlocks are right for you. You will also have “TEST LOCKS” put into your hair to see if they will hold, check sizes, amount of scalp showing, settling-in time, etc. This consultation is essential for both you and I, to ensure you get your Sisterlocks done in the most suitable way. YOU MUST COME TO THIS SESSION WITH YOUR HAIR CLEAN, LOOSE AND WITH NO PRODUCT. This will allow me to adequately assess your hair. Service fee for this appointment is $50.00.
Second Visit: The Locking Session
Bring a good book because the locking session can take from 10 to 15 hours or even longer in some cases. The average Sisterlocks customer will leave this session with approximately 400- 450 locks and a whole new attitude! I will provide you with a “Starter Kit” that includes the proper shampoo for starting your locks, tiny rubber bands for bundling and “tip sheets” on grooming and shampooing as your locks settle-in. Be sure to schedule your follow-up visit before you leave. Good maintenance is the key to gorgeous Sisterlocks over time. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit fee to get on the schedule for the locking session.
Third Visit: Follow-Up
You will need to schedule your follow-up visit after at least two shampooings, which is usually within 2-3 weeks from the time you first get your locks put in. I will monitor the integrity of your locks, tighten them up and give you an idea of how long the settling-in process is likely to take. We can also begin discussing styling tips for the “total look” that’s right for you! There is no additional fee for this service, it is included in the package price.
Ongoing Follow-Up Visits
I recommend that you schedule your first few re-tightening visits at 4-6 week intervals. This way, the progress of your locks can be monitored. As your locks mature, I will be able to determine how often you will need to come in for re-tightenings. The average time between visits is 4-8 weeks, depending on your hair type and rate of hair growth.
