Living ones true self

It took 48 years for me to be true to myself. This year at the age of 51, I had my theater debut in the Vagina Monologues with the DC East of the River team of amazing women. My piece that I shared with my wife was titled, "They beat the girl out of my boy, or so they tried". This journey not only allowed me to conquer my fear of being front in center, it also allowed me to shine light on the pain that exist among individuals who are just trying to live their true selves.
